The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has resulted in a devastating number of child fatalities, accounting for approximately 40% of all deaths in the region. Save the Children International has reported that out of the 37,500+ estimated deaths in Gaza, a staggering number are children. According to a representative from the children's rights charity, at least 17,000 children are currently unaccompanied or separated from their surviving family members.
