OpenAI confirms GPT-4 successor in training stage
OpenAI has announced plans to create a successor to its current AI model, GPT-4. GPT-4 underpins OpenAI’s current products, such as the early face of generative AI ChatGPT, but in a blog post on May 28, the company confirmed that a new model is on the way. Specifically, the OpenAI Board has formed a Safety and Security Committee, led by directors Bret Taylor, Adam D’Angelo, Nicole Seligman, and CEO Sam Altman. This committee will be “responsible for making recommendations to the full Board on critical safety and security decisions for OpenAI projects and operations”.
